Job placement company lets employees work '10 til 2'
*Staffing agency locates permanent part-time work for professionals with college degrees.
One year after leaving her job to have her third child, Angela Martin was ready to return to the working world.
Instead of going back into pharmaceutical sales she decided to start a 10 til 2 franchise, a staffing agency that helps others in a similar situation.
"A lot of people lump us in with your traditional temp agencies, but we are a long-term staffing solution," Martin said. "Our niche is in permanent part-time employment for college-educated professionals."

"I was a little nervous because this was a young company with new ideas ... but I thought it was such a great concept that I had to jump on it," Martin said.
Martin, 35, began her Ten til Two franchise last summer following eight years in pharmaceutical sales for Johnson & Johnson.
"When I found out about 10 til 2 I thought this would be the perfect balance between my career and family life," she said.
In her first year the company has grown to include 600 employees in its local database. Employees range from stay-at-home parents, both moms and dads, recent retirees and graduate students looking to supplement their income outside of school.
Most workers are placed in a professional office environment, usually working between four and 30 hours per week. Areas in which the company does not place employees are retail, restaurant, medical and dental fields.
Signing up with the company is free on its Web site, tentiltwo.com, where Martin said creating a profile and adding your resume takes about 10 minutes. Prospective workers are then contacted for an interview if they meet the requirements of the client.
The company has also been a hit with employers throughout Central Ohio, especially in Downtown Columbus,
"One niche that's embraced our company is the nonprofit sector," Martin said, "because they're always looking to stretch their budget."
