HR Specialist/Office Manager Denver, Colorado
A conversion-driven marketing agency headquartered in downtown Denver with an innovation-driven culture, is seeking a HR and Benefits Specialist/Office Manager. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing the entry and exit of employees, managing PTO (approval, logging and tracking), providing employee inputs for payroll, and administering benefits such as PTO, HSA and Simple Plan. Managing HR records and the employee review process by ensuring Directors complete reviews within set time periods and providing the Directors w/ key payroll info, etc. will be another responsibility. This position will also be responsible for directing insurance needs from liability, physical assets, and E&O to health/dental/disability, and managing an outsourced IT provider including prioritizing their work and maintaining accountability, along with maintaining sensitive computer passwords. Additional responsibilities include directing office space decisions and maintaining an open door for issues outside/beyond immediate managers.

Audit. Audit current policies, procedures and employee handbook to ensure compliance with key regulations and to identify potential problem areas.
Job Description Development. Update current job descriptions, create descriptions for new position and standardize the formats and make sure the description accurately and adequately notes the job functions and requirements.
Employee Classification. Review each job description and properly classify each employee to exempt or non-exempt status by law. Recommend time tracking mechanism for each classification.
Once this project is complete the job may continue with the following tasks:
All HR functions including benefits, flex spending, medical/dental, employment practices, COBRA, and more. Experience with payroll services and AP is a plus. 20 hours per week, can be worked in 4-5 short days or 2 full days per week.
